Trio Time Travel (Grades K-6)

Explore how music can transport you to different places and time periods as Trio Callisto takes you on a musical journey!  You’ll hear everything from a stomping stegosaurus to French church bells to South American dance music as you listen to music for flute, harp, and cello.

Four Continents and Four Centuries (Grades 7-12)

Travel the world as Trio Callisto performs and explains what makes a piece of classical music unique, and how music is constructed. Selected cultural and music theory concepts will be used to demonstrate the differences between various pieces of classical music. You’ll hear everything from French church bells to a South American tango as you listen to music for flute, harp, and cello.

Trio Master Class: Effective Practice Techniques

Many students don’t set specific goals when they practice, or simply don’t know how to practice. We will talk about how students can make the most of their practice time, how to set daily and weekly goals; how to effectively use a metronome and tape recorders, and how to prepare for rehearsals and performances as an ensemble member. This class can be adapted to all levels (beginner through university).

Trio Master Class: Instrumental Class

Can be individual master classes on each instrument’s technique, intonation, sound production, and musicianship; or can be a group master class, where the trio will discuss how to be a good ensemble player, listening, balance, and style.
