Trio Callisto, founded in 2005, is a Minneapolis based ensemble whose members are flutist Linda Chatterton, cellist Sally Gibson Dorer and harpist Min Kim. The trio has performed concerts throughout the Twin Cities, on Minnesota Public Radio, and has been featured several times on National Public Radio's "Performance Today." The ensemble's unique instrumentation allows for a rich variety of styles, colors and contrasts, showcased through a diverse repertoire that includes works by Marais, Ravel, Damase, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Jolivet, Adrienne Albert, and David Kechley.

The trio is committed to increasing the repertoire for this instrumentation through writing their own transcriptions and commissioning new works, and has worked with the American Composers Forum "Call for Scores" program. In 2008, composer Jocelyn Hagen won a Composers Commissioning Program grant from the American Composers Forum and the Jerome Foundation to compose a piece for Trio Callisto for a spring 2010 premiere.

In 2008-2009, Trio Callisto has a South Dakota State Arts grant to present concerts in South Dakota. Upcoming concerts include performances at the Harmony for Mayo concert series, school concerts throughout the Twin Cities for "Bravo Performances,” a recital at First Presbyterian Church in Rochester, and a performance taping for "Baby Blue Arts." Trio Callisto is looking forward to broadening its performing base to concerts throughout the country; presenting educational programs and residencies in schools and community centers; and working with composers to premiere new pieces.
